We may not be one of the large companies but we do strive to be one of the best. We are a family run company, trading since 1998. All our trainees are special; you will never be just a number at sallys. Our trainers are 100% dedicated to instructor training. This means they are not working for driving schools in their spare time - they specialise exclusively in instructor training, making them the best in their field. We provide a complete package to make your career a success.
Flexible Training
You can qualify at a pace to suit with our flexible training approach, fitting
training around your existing job and commitments. We offer regular flexible
courses and the intensive training option, a fast track to success, for students
who want to learn at an accelerated pace.
Advice and Support All The Way
Our driving instructor trainers always give you the best possible advice and
support. Whatever you are looking for, our driving instructor training courses
are tailored to meet your needs. Sally's success is based on our commitment to
delivering the best possible tuition. Our professional and highly qualified
instructor trainers make learning to be a driving instructor straightforward,
fun and rewarding.
With Sally's you get a lot more than just a course:
- Carefully selected books and materials approved by the Driving standards agency (DSA)
- Use of our vehicles for training and local test purposes
Freedom to Choose
We don't tie you in to Sally's Driving School when you qualify. You have the
freedom to choose self-employment, joining another school or continuing with
sallys. If you decide to join Sally's, we can offer many options through
continuing professional development (CPD) including driving instructor training
or teaching advanced driver training to a high standard such as fleet management
courses.
Fully Qualified Trainers
Each of Sally's individual driving instructor trainers is a member of the
Official Register of Driving Instructor Training (ORDIT), which means all their
training is assessed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), the government body
responsible for maintaining training standards within the industry. To become a
member of ORDIT, the instructor trainer passed a vigorous training assessment
examining the standard of training provided. This is an ongoing process, giving
you further assurance of our commitment to quality training as our training team
is made up of highly qualified professionals.
Sally's is continually looking at ways of improving the service to you. Every instructor takes part in a continuous self-advancement and assessment programme. The list of qualifications held by our instructors is very impressive. Here are a few examples:
- The City and Guilds 730 Teacher Training Certificate
- The BTEC Award for Progressive Advanced Driving Instruction
- RoSPA Gold Award
- The Institute of Advanced Motorists Advanced Driving Test (IAM ADT)
- The DIAmond Advanced Driving Test (DIA ADT)
- Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Code of Conduct
- Former DSA SEADI (Senior Examiner Approved Driving Instructor)
- Registered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
- The Driving Instructors Association (DIA)
- The Motor Schools Association (MSA)
- Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked
Sally's insists that the instructors achieve and maintain the highest 'check test' grades and are members of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) or the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM).
